Nature is a great healer
It is known that good health is the greatest wealth you can possess.
According to a research study, spending 2 quality hours per week in nature makes a positive impact on your health and well-being.
As reported by Healthline, Carolyn Schuyler, founder and executive director of Wildrock, a nature play and discovery center in Virginia said, “It’s something that most parents know intuitively. When kids have the chance to play free in nature, they’re happier, better behaved, and more connected socially.”
A group of researchers in the United Kingdom conducted a research to find out the amount of time we need to spend in nature to be healthier. The researchers conducted interviews with more than 19,000 people in the United Kingdom and gathered data about the time they spent in the nature during a week along with their self-reported health and well-being. Out of the people that spent little or no time in nature stated that they’re not satisfied with their lives and some people of the lot reported poor health. Whereas the people who spent at least 2 hours a week in nature experienced a boost in their mental and physical health, compared to those that didn’t spend any time in nature at all.
The aforementioned research is the first major study on the time required to spend in nature to gain health benefits. Dr Mathew White, at the University of Exeter Medical School, who is responsible for leading the study said, “What really amazed us was this was true for just about every group we could think of.”
Either way it is important to note that, spending some quality time in nature will generate positive results.
